It was a nice spring night, the stars were out and the moon shined brightly down from above. It was a surprised turn out from the rainy day it had been. The day its self had been a long one for the new teacher. This new career adventure was clearly off the beaten path he knew. Kody was not sure if it was quite the right one yet or not. But at least it would keep him sane or so he hoped. There was no criminal minds he had to try and get into anymore, it had sent him to the nut house once. He had gone too far and too deep that made it hard for him to come back.
Anyways those days were behind him and he tried his best not to dwell on them anymore. The tall white hair man wore worn black zip up hoodie that was unzipped with a light gray button up shirt underneath. A pair of jeans and tennis shoes were the final pieces of his outfit. He wasn’t the type of guy to wear suits or ties, he preferred comfort or class.
Kody had made his way into a bar that was not that busy then again it was a weekday and most people didn’t go out when there was work the next day. A seat was taken at the bar where he placed a order for wings, bbq wings. He asked for a bottle dark beer before making his way to one of the many empty tables. He took out his phone and checked over his email as he waited
Blue green eyes glanced around the room, everyone that was there seemed to be in their own world. That was a nice break for him, it meant he could eat in peace or at least hope he could hope. A waitress brought his wings over around twenty minutes later. They smelled amazing and he couldn’t wait for them to dig in. He didn’t care they were pipping hot, he picked on up and took a chunk out of it.
After a few wings down, his head shot up when he heard a bit of arguing that had became quite loud. His eyes glanced over, his police officers instincts kicking and he stood up and went over. He managed to break up the argument but not before taking a punch to the face. After the two guys were escorted out, Kody moved back to his dinner. The thankful bartender brought over a fresh basket of wings, on the house of course. And an ice pack from the first aid kit. She couldn’t thank him enough. Kody smiled and took the ice pack as well as saying thank you. He placed the ice pack across the right side of his face, leaning his against his propped up hand.
